To Adventure 01:26
2.
A crimson dawn lights the sea a gleaming red We know the time has come, prepare for the voyage ahead Say goodbye to your home and farewell to your friends Fetch your sword, fetch your pistol, there's a bloodlust to be quenched Across the seas we will sail to lands afar Chests of untold legend await beneath the stars The ocean calls out to us, will you answer and be sworn With cannonfire and cold-hard steel, we muster and to war! The shore fades in the distance, the winds begin to blow How long will we journey for, we may never know Will fame and legendary tales follow in our wake Or will we perish at the noose, a risk we dare to take The seas are cold and treacherous with danger always near But adventure's what we hunger for, we meet it with no fear We know not what we search for but we sail forever on And we know there is no turning back, until our quest is done Forever and ever onwards, our journey will never end Through the coldest of winds and blackest nights we'll sail, we will not relent Wherever our quest may take us, whatever may lie in store We'll stay strong and we'll raise our tankards high, we will sail forevermore We've sailed many miles and seen so many sights So many adventures we have had, and still more lurk in the night The ride may be foreboding but we take it in our stride Whatever lies in store for us, the fates are on our side Forever and ever onwards, our journey will never end Through the coldest of winds and blackest nights we'll sail, we will not relent Wherever our quest may take us, whatever may lie in store We'll stay strong and we'll raise our swords up high, we will sail forevermore

Hoist the black flag, for glory unite Raise up your cutlasses and sail into the night Hoist the mainsail, there's treasure to find Hoist the black flag and be ready to fight Hoist the black flag, we rally to the cause Plundering and pillaging, no one can stop this force Hoist the mainsail, adventure awaits Hoist the black flag and be ready to fight A crew of lawless buccaneers, we sail the open sea We're fuelled by rum and hearty song, we're the lords of anarchy Set sail for the horizon, to roam the whole world we are free So hoist the black flag, raise your sword, and have a drink on me Hoist the black flag, as rogues we hear the call Calling us to destiny, to fight and never fall Hoist the mainsail, there's battle ahead Hoist the black flag and be ready... Hoist the black flag, spread terror at the sight Death is not our master, we do not fear his might Hoist the mainsail, the horizon's ahead Hoist the black flag and be ready to fight A crew of lawless buccaneers, we sail the open sea We're fuelled by rum and hearty song, we're the lords of anarchy Set sail for the horizon, to roam the whole world we are free So hoist the black flag, raise your sword, and have a drink on me

Blood and guts and cannon fire Murderous cutthroats that take what they desire Here they come in the dead of the night You'd all best hurry if it comes to a fight None can stand against the might of their crew Honest sailors they were once too Now they're lost to the grip of the SeaWolf They ain't comin' back, they're gone forever... Don't fight with the SeaWolf You will not live Just run from the SeaWolf And don't ever look back No survivors, thats what they say Burning and killing is left in their wake The wrath of the SeaWolf will never be tamed Their hearts are filled with malicious hate Challenge them not if ye wish to live Their iron fist spreads death and despair The black flag is raised out in the bay The time has come, run! Don't fight with the SeaWolf You will not live Just run from the SeaWolf And don't ever look back They're coming for you can you hear that sound Its your own heart beat, its beating that loud They've spotted you now, there's no going back No helps coming, you're own your own now They're smiling viciously they knows how this ends The sound of your blood is filling your head They're coming for you can you hear that sound Their footsteps come closer, run! Don't fight with the SeaWolf You will not live Just run from the SeaWolf And don't ever look back

I sailed in on a storm one night disheveled and done in And so I set about the town to find myself an inn Somewhere to find a warming hearth, some good rum and some beer But most of all a party with good company and cheer! 'Twas down a darkened alleyway I came upon the place A haven for outlaws and rogues, the outcast and disgraced The name above the door was written, carved into the stones I knew that I had found the tavern of the Skull 'n' Bones! Come my friends, come one and all Revel with us all night Come raise a glass to old times passed And drink till morning's light! There's ale from all around the world and all the finest wines And rum imported from afar with taste that is divine Whatever is your poison, it don't matter how bizarre Just come to this old tavern, cause it's all behind the bar! Come my friends, come one and all Revel with us all night Come raise a glass to old times passed And drink till morning's light For when tomorrow comes around We will sail from these shores But one day soon we will return And drink with you once more!

We set sail in the dead of night With fortune and glory in our sight Tales we had heard of a chest of gold With treasure within and riches untold An ancient map was our only guide Washed up ashore in a bottle one night Led us to an island in seas unknown Blood Island its name, that the chest calls its home Warned were we of a curse They say none who seek the chest will ever return But why be scared away by mere fairytales When such riches could be ours to call our own? So we set sail! For many days and many nights We searched the seas To find the fabled ancient isle Until one sunrise, a dark shape on the horizon, Behold Blood Island, the treasure within our grasp... They say ghost ships sail around Blood Island's shores Echoes of eternally damned souls, overcome with greed To warn all who pass, beware the treasure's deadly curse Or you will join them, damned for all eternity The map showed a trail, we followed all day 'Til sunset took all the light away At the heart of the isle, a cavern so vast Deep down we ventured, all our courage amassed Hours passed 'til we saw a light We emerged in a chamber of untold height In the centre on an altar sat the fabled chest The treasure be ours, behold the goal of our quest Warned were we of a curse They say none who seek the chest will ever return But why be scared away by mere fairytales When such riches could be ours to call our own? Into the cave! A hand was laid upon the chest And suddenly The whole vast cavern it did quake The walls did crack! A thousand skulls pour from above We break to run But there was no time to escape For the roof gave way with an almighty crack The sea poured in and everything went black... They say ghost ships sail around Blood Island's shores Echoes of eternally damned souls, overcome with greed To warn all who pass, beware the treasure's deadly curse And now we join them, damned for all eternity We set out for riches and glory Instead we only met our fate The Curse of Blood Island ain't no fairytale If greed has blinded you, you cannot be saved... Heed our warnings or you too shall become its prey! They say ghost ships sail around Blood Island's shores Echoes of eternally damned souls, overcome with greed To warn all who pass, beware the treasure's deadly curse Or you will join them, damned for all eternity

Haul Away 04:42
Once I was in Cumberland, a-diggin' turf and taters (Away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe) But now I’m on a pirate ship, a-haulin' on the braces (Away, haul away, we'll haul away for Rosie Away, haul away, we'll haul away for Johnny-o) You call yourself a second mate but you can’t tie a bowline (Away, haul away...) You cannot even stand up straight oh when the ship's a-rollin' Away, haul away, haul away, we'll haul away for Johnny-o King Louis was the king of France before the revolution But then he got his head cut off which spoiled his constitution The cook is in the galley making pie with ale so handy The captain’s in his cabin, boozing' up on wine and brandy Away, haul away, haul away, we'll haul away for Johnny-o Away, haul away, we'll haul away for Rosie Away, haul away, we'll haul away for Johnny-o!

As I gaze out over the misty sea The waves gently lap at the shore I breathe the sea air and remember old times When these oceans once were my home But I know those times are long gone My time is nearing its end Only one more journey's in store for me The waves are calling me home All my life I've sailed these oceans Now death comes to set me free To carry me off to a faraway land Over the deep blue sea I once was a captain of a crew brave and bold Feared across lands far and wide The treasure we plundered then wasted away Is a debt that I must now repay The many adventures we set out upon Now are just distant memories I raise the black flag one last time And drink one last tankard of ale All my life I've sailed these oceans Now death comes to set me free To carry me off to a faraway land Over the deep blue sea So many men have died in my name So much blood lies on my hands My days of pillaging cannot be undone Now at last my time has come round I set the sails for one last time Chart one final course Now as I leave this world behind I bid my final farewell... All my life I've sailed these oceans Now death comes to set me free To carry me off to a faraway land Over the deep blue sea

Young Rosie lass lived by the sea (Hey ho, the wind doth blow) Oh she dreamed dreams of great piracy (And we brave its stormy temper) Providence heard her and answered the plea, (Hey ho, the storm doth blow) 'Board a ship of fortune she did flee, (And we go where it may take us) And 'pon that ship she learned the ways And mastered every trial By crew's decree was made first mate It all seemed worth her while Hey ho, the wind doth blow It fills our sails with song And with every new day, we will find our own way As the winds they guide us on Captain McGann was a fearsome man (Hey ho...) Flogged the crew whene'er he can He'd make us murder and betray Even when our foes began to pray Now Rosie said "this ain't right, have you no mercy to show?" But Captain said "obey me or over the side you'll go!" Hey ho, the wind doth blow It fills our sails with song And with every new day, we will find our own way As the winds they guide us on I'd dreamed of freedom of the sea (Aye aye, and so did we!) Not trapped in this cruel tyranny (We will stand for it no longer!) Now come my crewmates, who's with me? (Aye aye, we stand with ye!) The only way is mutiny! (And we go where you may take us!) Rise in the dead of night (Hey ho...) Draw swords, prepare to fight Come now, the time is right Captain will feel our might We broke into his cabin, and before his sword could lift We bound him in a longboat, and we sent him out adrift… Bring the powder kegs to me Let's blow McGann's last legacy Abandon ship, and then on three Flaming arrow, fly fast and free… On an island lush and green Is where young Rosie last was seen She lived in paradise, some say Was merry until her last day She wanted freedom, thought she'd find it sailing out to sea But never knew her heart's true place 'til she was truly free Hey ho, the wind doth blow It fills our sails with song And with every new day, we will find our own way As the winds they guide us on Haul to, the wind blows through Across her island home And it's on this new day she has found her own way Her heart don't need to roam Hey ho, the wind doth blow It fills our sails with song And with every new day, we will find our own way As the winds they guide us on!

Many years ago while sailing stormy seas The waves they lashed against our sides, no control had we Hoisting the mainsail we tried to set course But it was to no avail Over and over the bow was spun round Helplessly driving us into unknown seas The sky grew blacker and blacker The waves towered fifty feet tall Where we were headed to we did not know Into the storm! I've heard tell of a legend In waters around these parts All sailors beware! Evil lurks in the depths below! Death from the deep! A mighty beast beneath the waves Laying waste to any crew who dare to cross its path Death from the deep! No soul will make it through the night Heed my warning never to sail in those forbidden seas! Lightning crashes around us Waves pummel the decks mercilessly Where we were headed to we did not know Into the storm! I see a shadow on the water Something giant lurks deep below A great rumble shudders the ship Chilling the crew to the bones! Death from the deep! A mighty beast beneath the waves Laying waste to any crew who dare to cross its path Death from the deep! No soul will make it through the night Heed my warning never to sail in those forbidden seas! Ready the cannons, prepare for attack! Panic breaks out all over the deck! All sailors prepare to fight for your lives! We now lie in wait, not knowing our fate… “Below the thunders of the upper deep; Far, far beneath in the abyssal sea, Her ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee About her shadowy sides; above her swell Huge sponges of millennial growth and height; And far away into the sickly light, From many wondrous grot and secret cell Unnumber'd and enormous polypi Winnow with giant fins the slumbering green. There hath she lain for ages, and will lie Battening upon huge seaworms in her sleep, Until the latter fire shall heat the deep; Then once by man and angels to be seen, In roaring she shall rise and on the surface die” -Alfred, Lord Tennyson - “The Kraken” A great tremor from under the water An earth-shattering roar splits the air As tentacles as long as sixteen men Ascend from the depths all around! The ghostly remains of our ship Are dragged by the beast down below Timbers shatter and masts are crushed As we're dragged to a watery grave… I gasp for breath as I surface from the depths Survived by a miracle, I had another chance A plank of wood from the wreckage floats by I hold on with all of my might Surveying the sea for other spared souls Nothing but stormy waters all around… No one else made it through A hundred good men sent down to the depths Nothing remains but the black ocean As I'm swept away into the darkness… And now alone I travel the world Telling my tale wherever I go To chill the bones of all who hear So they never dare venture to those forbidden seas… Death from the deep! A mighty beast beneath the waves Laying waste to any crew who dare to cross its path Death from the deep! No soul will make it through the night Heed my warning never to sail in those forbidden seas!

about

"This volume serves to chronicle the voyages of the legendary pirate vessel, the Iron SeaWolf, and her fearsome crew. A collection of songs, shanties and stories, some of the crew themselves, and others that they have heard and collected from various corners of the seven seas during their many travels. This volume has been compiled from the various parchments and logs aboard the ship, so that you may re-live these adventures yourself. Prepare to join the crew and set sail… to adventure!"
